The mechanical method of measurement is indispensable in the case when only the end of the rotation shaft is available for measurement, or the rotation speed is extremely low.
To measure optically, it is necessary to stick a piece of reflective tape (foil) on the radial surface of the pulley, turn on the device and direct the emitter towards the object.
Mechanical measurement requires the transmission of a rotational force to the instrument shaft. For this, friction nozzles (2 pcs of different diameters, rubber) and a round-section drive belt with a pulley are included with the tachometer.
