The HP-870G auto-ranging device is designed to measure AC current up to 1000A with a non-contact method. It is also possible to measure voltage in AC and DC circuits, resistance, voltage drop across the p-n junction and temperature. When the circuits are ringing, in addition to the indication, the buzzer signal sounds. The auto-off function helps to conserve battery power.
