Dial indicator is a measuring device designed for absolute and relative measurements and control of deviations from a given geometric shape of a part, as well as the relative position of surfaces.
The cylindrical body contains rack and pinion and gear drives that convert the reciprocating movement of the measuring rod into the rotational movement of the instrument needle.
The indicator hand is multi-turn, one turn of the hand corresponds to a 1 mm movement of the stylus.
There is a second hand on the small dial that shows the number of full revolutions of the large hand.
Rotating indicator scale for zero setting.
At the working end of the measuring rod, there is a carbide ball in a replaceable holder, which touches the part to be measured during measurement.
For attaching the indicator to the back of the housing, there is a mounting plate with a 6 mm hole.
Also, the measuring head can be fixed to the measuring rod (rod) guide protruding from the body of the mechanism.
