The device consists of two blocks - main and remote. The remote unit is attached to the main unit during storage. When testing cables with both ends of the cable close to each other, you do not need to remove the remote unit. When testing a laid cable, when the second end of the line is far away (for example, in another room), the remote unit can be removed and connected to the other end of the cable line.
Test only on an unconnected line!
The cable can be checked both in automatic and manual mode for breakage, short circuit, crossover.
Manual mode - switching to the next wire does not occur automatically, but by pressing a button. This is sometimes very convenient.
The tester can be used without an additional unit - the two ends of the cable are plugged into the main unit and the "running lights" are next to each other.
Turning on the tester is not mechanical, but electronic, with a tact button.
