This module is designed to test a variety of power supplies up to 5 A and up to 35 W. To connect the power sources under test, the module board has a USB A plug, as well as a two-pin terminal block. An LCD display is used to display information. To cool the module, a heatsink and a cooler are installed on the board. The cooler is activated when the temperature reaches 40 °C. To connect an external power supply, the board has a microUSB socket.
Important! For operation, this module requires an external 5 V power supply. Power must be supplied to the microUSB socket, or directly to the contacts located next to it.
Module management
To set the current strength, a trimming resistor is installed on the board.
The module control uses the following four buttons:
SELECT - switching between information display modes, switching between menu items
ON / SET - start testing, long press - enter the setting mode
+ - increment button, used to increase the value of the parameter when setting
- - decrement button, used to decrease the parameter value when setting
Display modes
With a short press on the SELECT button, the module will switch between the following information display modes:
VA - voltage and current display
VW - voltage and power display
V Ah - voltage and capacitance display
VT - display and measurement time
By long pressing the SELECT button in any of the display modes, the voltage (V) will be replaced by the temperature of the module (°C). When pressed again, the voltage will change the temperature.
Setting mode
By holding the ON/SET button for a long time, the module will enter the setup menu. Switching between menu items is carried out using the SELECT button, changing the value of the adjustable characteristics is done using the + and - buttons.
A number of cutoffs are available for setting - parameters, upon reaching which the module will stop working. The following cutoff modes are available:
LUP - cutoff at the lower voltage threshold
OUP - cutoff on the upper voltage threshold
OCP - current cutoff
OPP - power cutoff
OGP - temperature cut-off
OHP - time cutoff
OAP - capacitance cut-off
In addition, module calibration is available:
corU - voltage calibration
corC - current calibration
